The Sloane Art Library at UNC-Chapel Hill holds a diverse collection of artists' books. It is considered a teaching collection, primarily used by studio art faculty for courses in book arts and printmaking. To that end we collect as broadly as possible in order to show users the range of work being produced by artists in the book form. Collection strengths include work by North Carolina artists and by Latin American artists. Most of the collection is for in-library use only and is kept behind the desk, but a small portion of it is available in the stacks for short-term circulation.
The Classroom Action Research Network Bulletin was published by CARN Publications. The bulletins in this collection cover the years 1984 to 1991.
